Athens & Tolos: July 22-July 26 2024

Students will arrive in Athens on July 22, 2024. On July 23, we will meet for a tour of the Acropolis and orientation dinner in the historic neighborhood of Monistiraki. Students will have opportunities to visit additional historical sites, explore Athens, and take part in introductory Greek Theatre & Dance Workshops. On July 24 & 25, students will travel by private charter bus to Tolos for additional introductory classes, beach time, and a production at the Ancient Theatre at Epidaurus.

 

Travel to Naxos: July 27, 2024

On Saturday July 27, students will travel by private charter bus to catch a ferry to Naxos Island and settle into their accommodations. They will have the evening to explore the island. Sunday is a recreation day. Students may make their own plans to explore the island or participate

in an activity suggested by ITDP, such as a tour of the island by boat and visiting different swimming spots. This will be at an additional cost.

 

Naxos Classes: July 29-Aug 2 & 5-9, 2024

Summer 2024 includes daily core classes in Ancient Greek Theatre, Choro Drama Movement, Shakespeare & Text, Acting for Film, Musical Theatre Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre Dance, Contemporary Monologue with additional master classes in Traditional Greek Folk Dance and Ancient Greek Rhythm.

 

 

Recreation Days: July 28, August 3-4 2024

​

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the cultural and recreational aspects and events on the island and the beautiful surrounding Cycladic islands. Paros, Mykonos and Santorini are within 1-4 hours by ferry from Naxos. ITDP will suggest opportunities, however, students may make their own plan if they wish.
